Learn to Dive
This six-day, five-night tour includes round-trip airfare, the opportunity to earn your scuba diving certification with the PADI Open Water Diver Course, first-class accommodations steps from the Caribbean beach and culinary indulgences highlighting the freshest local fare.
Your course begins with classwork to develop knowledge of the basic principles of scuba diving. Once fitted and familiarized with your equipment, pool instruction and skills practice will ready you to experience the reefs of Belize in four open water dives. The PADI Open Water certification is recognized worldwide, so your diving experiences are limitless.
Typical Itinerary for the Student Diver

Day 1: Travel to Belize, arriving at Philip Goldson International Airport in Belize City. Transfer to the luxury beachfront Banyan Bay Hotel, on Ambergris Caye, via a connecting flight to San Pedro Airport on Tropic Air. Check in that afternoon, followed by an early evening welcome reception.
Day 2: Following breakfast, your instructor will outfit you with your gear for the week and teach you how to assemble and disassemble your scuba equipment properly. You will master a series of skills over the course of several confined water (pool) dives, each designed to build upon a previously learned set of skills. After lunch break, you are back to the pool to finish up your confined water dives. Please remember that the pace is based upon each individual’s progress so no need to rush. Before heading off for dinner in San Pedro followed by an evening at leisure, you will be given a final exam to ensure your mastery of the information covered in the PADI eLearning portion of the class.
Day 3: After breakfast, two local morning dive sessions for certification at Hol Chan Marine Reserve, followed by a catered lunch break before an afternoon of fun and exploration. Enjoy shopping in San Pedro or an afternoon of sun and sand at Secret Beach. Return to the hotel for dinner in San Pedro and an evening at leisure.
Day 4: After breakfast, two local morning dive sessions for certification at one of over thirty dive sites within a ten-minute boat ride from the dive center, followed by a catered lunch break before an afternoon of fun and exploration. Enjoy shopping in San Pedro or an afternoon of sun and sand at Secret Beach. Return to the hotel for dinner in San Pedro and an evening at leisure.
Day 5: After breakfast, two local morning dive sessions as a newly certified PADI Open Water Diver at one of over thirty dive sites within a ten-minute boat ride from the dive center, followed by a catered lunch break before an afternoon of fun and exploration. Enjoy shopping in San Pedro or an afternoon of sun and sand at Secret Beach. Return to the hotel for dinner in San Pedro and an evening at leisure.
Day 6: Check out and transfer to Philip Goldson International Airport for your return trip home.

Round-trip coach airfare from any point of origination in the continental United States, transfer to and from Philip Goldson International Airport and Ambergris Caye, hotel accommodations, shared golf cart rental, and five days of breakfast, four days of lunch and four days of dinner as well as welcome reception.
